Travel, for me, is a way of paying deeper attention.
In new cities and different countries, my senses become sharper. I wander through streets without rushing. I notice the texture of walls, handwritten signs, reflections in shop windows, the rhythm of footsteps on pavement. The way light moves between buildings. The quiet choreography of strangers passing each other.
I move slowly and stay curious. I speak to people. I listen. Often, the most meaningful stories emerge through simple encounters. A conversation in a small café or the train. An invitation into someone’s workspace. A shared moment of trust in a place far from home.
I am drawn to the atmosphere of a street, a neighbourhood, a landscape shaped by culture and history. To the layers beneath the surface that reveal how a place feels, not only how it looks.
